FragDenStaat – Dokumente von Behörden befreien

FragDenStaat ist ein Projekt der Open Knowledge Foundation Deutschland e.V., mit dem jeder Mensch unabhängig von Alter oder Herkunft Anfragen nach den deutschen Informationsgesetzen stellen kann. Fragen und Antworten werden hier transparent dokumentiert.

Ziel ist es:

– die Frage nach einer Behördenauskunft für alle Menschen zu erleichtern;

– sowohl die Anfragen der BürgerInnen als auch die Antworten der Behörden transparent zu dokumentieren;

– eine Kultur der Informationsfreiheit in Deutschland zu etablieren und die zugrunde liegende Gesetze zu stärken.

Wozu dient FragDenStaat?

FragDenStaat möchte Sie dabei unterstützen, auf amtliche Informationen von deutschen Behörden zuzugreifen. Hierfür veröffentlicht FragDenStaat Anfragen nach den Informationsgesetzen des Bundes und der Bundesländer gemeinsam mit den Antworten der Behörden.

FragDenStaat erleichtert es NutzerInnen, sich mit eigenen Informationsanfragen an die Behörden zu wenden: Anfragen können einfach über ein Formular gestellt werden. Die Anfrage wird dann von FragDenStaat per E-Mail an die entsprechende Behörde gesendet und gleichzeitig online veröffentlicht. Auch die anschließende Antwort der Behörde wird auf FragDenStaat öffentlich einsehbar gemacht.

Durch die Veröffentlichung der Antworten wird FragDenStaat zu einer Sammelstelle für amtliche Informationen. Außerdem dient die Veröffentlichung des Frage- und Antworthergangs dazu, die Antwortpraxis der Behörden transparent kontrollieren zu können. Das hilft letztlich auch den Behörden: Sie müssen ähnliche Anfragen nämlich nicht mehrfach beantworten, da Informationen bereits über FragDenStaat abrufbar sind.

Das Portal soll auch für investigative JournalistInnen und Nichtregierungsorganisationen nützlich sein: Anfragen können nicht-öffentlich gestellt und erst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt veröffentlicht werden. Dadurch wird die exklusive Nutzung von Informationen gewahrt. Gleichzeitig kann die Webseite als Quelle angegeben werden.

Warum sollte ich FragDenStaat nutzen?

Die zugrunde liegende Idee: Wir als BürgerInnen haben das Recht, unsere Regierung zu kontrollieren. Durch die Veröffentlichung von Informationen auf FragDenStaat können sich mehr Menschen in den demokratischen Prozess einbringen und die Rechenschaftspflicht von Politik und Verwaltung wird erhöht.

In der mobilen App sind noch nicht alle Funktionen von FragDenStaat verfügbar. So kann man aktuell zum Beispiel noch keine Anfragen stellen. Wir arbeiten jedoch hart daran die App so schnell es geht weiterzuentwicklen. Wir Feedback und andere Anregungen haben wir stets ein offenes Ohr.

FragDenStaat is a project of the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany e.V. with which every person, regardless of age or background make requests for information the German laws. Questions and answers are transparently documented here.

The aim is:

- to facilitate the issue of a government information for all people;

- to document the requests of both citizens and the replies of the authorities transparent;

- to establish a culture of freedom of information in Germany and strengthen the underlying laws.

What is FragDenStaat?

FragDenStaat you want help to access official information from German authorities. For this purpose, published FragDenStaat requests for information laws of the federation and the provinces together with the replies of the authorities.

FragDenStaat it easier for users to consult with their own requests for information to the authorities: Inquiries can be easily placed on a form. The request is then sent from FragDenStaat via email to the appropriate authority and published simultaneously online. The subsequent response of the authority is made publicly available on FragDenStaat.

By publishing the answers FragDenStaat becomes a repository for official information. Why should I use FragDenStaat?

The underlying idea: we as citizens have to control our government the right. By publishing information on FragDenStaat more people can bring to the democratic process and the accountability of politics and administration is increased.

In the mobile app all the features of FragDenStaat are not yet available. So you can currently still make no requests for example. However, we are working hard the app as soon as possible weiterzuentwicklen. We feedback and other suggestions, we always have an open ear.
